Flags to stay on lampposts but not roundabouts
Briefly

Worcestershire County Council, led by Reform UK, announced that St George flags will remain on lampposts. This follows a similar situation in Birmingham where flags were removed due to safety concerns. The national party supports the display of patriotic flags, and Worcestershire's authority confirmed there are no plans to take them down. Concerns about safety and visibility were cited, but the council's cabinet member for highways stated that flying flags should ideally occur in safer locations and emphasized local pride in British identities. Flags have appeared in several areas within Worcestershire.
There are many ways that people can show their pride by flying the St George's flag in your own front and back gardens, on your cars, in your windows and on community buildings where agreed by the whole community.
Climbing up lampposts and attaching flags to them may not be the best thing to do, mostly because it's dangerous and could cause damage.
In Worcestershire, we are proud of our English and British identities.
There are no specific plans to remove the flags.
