Prince Andrew announced Friday that he has given up all of his "titles and honours" after discussing it with his older brother King Charles of England and other members of the royal family. "In discussion with The King, and my immediate and wider family, we have concluded the continued accusations about me distract from the work of His Majesty and the Royal Family," Prince Andrew said in a statement."
"As the son of the monarch, Prince Andrew will continue to use the title "prince," but he will no longer be known as the Duke of York. In lawsuits and depositions, several of Epstein's accusers have accused Prince Andrew of sexual abuse, which he has denied. Prince Andrew previously lost some of his royal titles in early 2022, after he was sued by Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of sexual assault."
