A UK Deportation Command would be established to implement Operation Restoring Justice and detain 24,000 illegal migrants. Officers would track down, detain and deport illegal migrants, house detainees in modular accommodation, and run five return flights daily using chartered planes. An RAF plane would be kept on standby to prevent flight delays due to mechanical issues. The programme was modelled at £2bn a year and presented as a fraction of current accommodation spending, with claims it will largely pay for itself. Additional measures include rules to prevent churches being converted into mosques and a ban on face coverings such as the burka. Almost 200,000 migrants have arrived by small boat over eight years, a figure characterized as an invasion and compared to the Normandy landings.
