Congressional leaders plead with their absentee lawmakers: "You've got to come"

Tom Kean Jr. missed two months of House votes after citing an unspecified personal medical issue. House Speaker Mike Johnson said he only knew Kean had a medical issue. Kean canceled a scheduled appearance, and his chief of staff said there were no cameras where he was. Neither Wilson nor Kean indicated they would drop reelection bids.
