The crash happened on Route 104 between Danbury and Alexandria on Saturday evening. The impacted moose appeared to fare better than the vehicle, while a Chevy Silverado pickup truck suffered heavy front-end damage. Police reported the moose was large enough to total the front of the Silverado, then stood up and walked away apparently uninjured. Authorities advised motorists to be alert for moose on the road to prevent further collisions.
