All Hail This 8-Year-Old With the Greatest Mullet We've Ever Seen
"Kamden has been rocking his mullet for three years - ever since the fateful day his older brother decided to chop off some of Kamden's ringlets using nose hair trimming scissors. Parents Kelsey and Brendan Cunningham showed Kamden some hairstyles he could choose to salvage the uneven 'do. "So he ended up choosing a mullet," his mom says with a sigh."
"That mullet has treated Kamden well. When he took home the national title in the USA Mullet Championship, he won a fancy wrestling-style belt and $5,000. Kamden's style is more than just hair. Kelsey calls it "a mullet with a purpose." The USA Mullet Championship acts as a fundraiser for Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors, which provides accessible, custom-built homes to wounded veterans."
Eight-year-old Kamden Cunningham, nicknamed The Kammander, is the reigning kids' division champion of the USA Mullet Championships and returned to compete locally after announcing retirement. The mullet began three years earlier when an older brother accidentally cut his ringlets and parents offered styled options. The national title earned a wrestling-style belt and $5,000. Kamden leveraged his hairstyle to fundraise for Jared Allen's Homes for Wounded Warriors, raising more than $15,000 through lemonade stands, Croc charm sales and a community event called The Kammander's Final Konquest. He placed second at an in-person mullet contest while continuing to showcase his mullet.
