"Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Boston police received a report of a driver saying a Honda Accord reversed into their parked car at the intersection of Beacon and Spruce streets and the driver refused to move or exchange information. The responding officer explained that information must be exchanged and instructed the driver of the Honda not to move, prosecutors said. Instead, the driver accelerated, causing the officer to be pulled forward and his foot to be dragged, resulting in injury, according to the DA."
"Officers later said they saw Lipson's Honda near 3 Center Plaza. When ordered to stop and exit the vehicle, Lipson reportedly continued to drive. An officer drew his firearm and order her to exit the vehicle again before officers unlocked the door and removed Lipson from the vehicle, according to the DA. Lipson resisted and "demanded" to be told why she was being arrested, prosecutors said. While being placed in the cruiser, Lipson kicked an officer in the chest and proceeded to kick the doors and scream at officers, according to the DA."
""This disturbing set of facts indicates that police officers were placed into a dangerous situation by this defendant not once, but twice, within minutes. It's fortunate that there weren't more serious injuries. This is yet another reminder that an officer's shift can turn perilous in an instant," Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden"
A 27-year-old Roslindale woman, Avagadra Lipson, faces multiple charges including reckless operation of a motor vehicle, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, leaving the scene with property damage, refusing to identify as a motor vehicle operator, and resisting arrest. Police say a Honda Accord reversed into a parked car and the driver refused to exchange information, then accelerated when an officer ordered the driver not to move, dragging the officer and injuring his foot. Officers later located the vehicle, ordered the driver to stop, removed Lipson after she resisted, and say she kicked an officer while being placed in a cruiser. The Suffolk County District Attorney warned officers were placed in a dangerous situation twice in minutes.
