"Surveillance video captured Bryan Kohberger casually walking into a Washington DMV, requesting a license plate change, and calmly chatting to an employee who mentioned the murders of four Idaho college students he committed just days earlier."
"The worker explains she is originally from the Bay Area, but prefers living in Washington over California. 'I really like it though, I like how small, quiet and I would say safe, but the whole Moscow thing kinda makes it feel a little less,' she tells Kohberger."
Surveillance footage shows Bryan Kohberger at a Washington DMV on November 18, 2022, requesting a license plate change. He engaged in casual conversation with an employee, who referenced the recent murders of four University of Idaho students. Kohberger, a former PhD student at Washington State University, was arrested on December 30, 2022. In July 2023, he was sentenced to life in prison without parole after pleading guilty to murder to avoid the death penalty.
