Campbell's CISO canned over alleged 'poor people' rant
"We have shit for fucking poor people. Who buys our shit?"
"I don't buy fucking Campbell's products barely anymore. It's not healthy. Now that I know what the fuck's in it. Even in a can of soup, I look at it... bioengineered meat - I don't want to eat a fucking piece of chicken that came from a 3D printer, do you?"
"described the soup merchant's products as "highly processed" and "shit.""
Campbell's placed its US CISO and vice president on temporary leave while investigating allegations that he disparaged customers, the company's products, and Indian staffers. A former colleague secretly recorded a September 2024 meeting in which Martin Bally allegedly called products "highly processed" and "shit" and launched into an hour-long tirade. Former remote security analyst Robert Garza filed a lawsuit that publicized the audio and alleges he was dismissed 20 days after reporting the recording. The lawsuit alleges Bally admitted to being high on cannabis edibles at work and made xenophobic remarks about Indian employees. The reporting notes a claim about 3D-printed meat despite no public evidence of its use; Campbell's says it uses genetically modified plant products in some items.
