"Victoria Jones, the daughter of Oscar-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones, died of an accidental cocaine overdose, the San Francisco chief medical examiner confirmed on Tuesday. The 34-year-old's death was an accident caused by the toxic effects of cocaine, the medical examiner's office said. She was found unresponsive in a room at the Fairmont Hotel, known for its world-famous clientele, at 2:52 a.m. on New Year's Day."
"Victoria had struggled with cocaine for years and was arrested twice last year. She died 20 days before a scheduled court appearance for possession charges and a proffered plea deal that would have helped her get sober if she met certain conditions. Tommy Lee Jones had long tried to help his daughter, one of two grown children he shares with ex-wife Kimberlea Cloughley Moser."
"In 2023, Jones obtained temporary conservatorship over Victoria, fearing she was at risk of life-threatening conduct and worried she might disappear and use her money to prop up her harmful lifestyle instead of getting help. The conservatorship ran from August through Dec. 18, when Jones ended it."
