David Peralta announced his retirement from baseball via Instagram and thanked God, family, teammates, coaches, and fans. He credited the Arizona Diamondbacks for launching his MLB career and also acknowledged Tampa Bay Rays, Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres. Peralta played 133 games for the Dodgers in 2023, hitting seven home runs with a .675 OPS and 55 RBIs. He spent nine seasons with Arizona, moved to the Rays in 2022, then Dodgers and Padres, and most recently played for Bravos de Margarita in Venezuela. His career totals include 125 home runs, 569 RBIs, a Gold Glove and a Silver Slugger.
