"The Washtenaw County prosecutor's office accused Moore on Friday of "unlawfully entering the dwelling of a victim with whom Mr. Moore had a dating relationship." Michigan fired Moore with cause Wednesday after a university investigation found "credible evidence" he had "engaged in an inappropriate relationship with a staff member," the school said in a statement. Moore, who has been held in Washtenaw County Jail since Wednesday, appeared in court via video."
"While prosecutors stated that Moore "terrorized" the woman after losing his head coaching job, defense attorney Joe Simon said "there's no evidence to suggest he's a threat." Bond was set at $25,000 with the additional conditions of GPS tether monitoring and orders not to contact the alleged victim or go to the her residence. A probable cause conference was scheduled for Jan. 22."
Sherrone Moore faces charges of home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering allegedly occurring after his firing from the Michigan football program. Prosecutors allege Moore unlawfully entered the dwelling of a woman he had dated. The home invasion count is a third-degree felony with up to five years and a $2,000 fine; the other counts are misdemeanors. Bond was set with GPS monitoring and no-contact and no-entry conditions. A probable cause conference is scheduled for Jan. 22. Moore is married with three children and was 17-8 in two seasons as Michigan head coach; the team will play the Citrus Bowl under an interim coach.
