Long Beach Wilson defeated Artesia 68-35, and West Covina beat Del Sol 60-30. Anaheim Canyon topped Gilbert (Ariz.) Highland 67-56. Las Vegas Valley beat Silver Valley 61-41. Loyola overcame Surprise (Ariz.) Willow Canyon 69-58. Mater Dei prevailed 80-73 over Chandler (Ariz.) Basha. Phoenix (Ariz.) Needles won 77-51 at Arcadia, and Tucson Magnet (Ariz.) edged Rancho Cucamonga 67-63. In girls intersectional play, Coral Academy of Science Las Vegas narrowly beat Silver Valley 40-36, and Silver Valley later defeated Las Vegas Spring Valley 39-35.
