Lyle Menendez will appear before a parole board after serving decades for the 1989 murders of his parents. Erik Menendez underwent a ten-hour virtual parole hearing the previous day and was denied, with the board finding he continues to pose an unreasonable risk to public safety. The board cited pre-murder burglaries, the killing of his mother, and cellphone violations in custody. The brothers were resentenced to 50 years to life with parole eligibility under youth offender laws, making them eligible for hearings. Erik must wait three years for another parole opportunity. A Los Angeles news conference is planned after Lyle's hearing.
I imagine that Lyle and his team are discourage to see them give such an effort for this and still come up short,
justice for Jose and Kitty Menendez.
disappointing and not what we hoped for.
