Scott Morrill, 52, from Uxbridge was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison plus 15 years of supervised release for possessing child sexual abuse material. Arrested in April 2025, investigators discovered a laptop containing illegal images and videos at his home. Morrill was already on federal supervised release from a 2013 conviction for distributing child pornography. He pleaded guilty to possession charges in October 2025. Google detected hundreds of illicit images stored in Morrill's account and reported the activity to the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children, which alerted law enforcement. Further investigation revealed additional child abuse materials in both his Google account and home computer.
