Michael La Sasso, the reigning NCAA individual golf champion, has signed with Phil Mickelson-led HyFlyers GC and joined LIV Golf, foregoing his senior season at Ole Miss. By turning professional, he forfeited amateur status and his Masters exemption earned as NCAA champion. La Sasso, who turns 22 in March, was a first-team All-American and helped Ole Miss reach the NCAA team semifinals; he also played in the 2025 Walker Cup. He competed in six PGA Tour events last season, making only one cut (tied for 44th at the 3M Open). LIV added several players this year and starts its season in Saudi Arabia soon.
