"On October 3, JKN Universe, the company owned by Miss Universe CEO Anne Jakrajutatip, filed a complaint against Rose's company, VVV Global Ent. (The complaint notes that Rose is VVV's only member.) In the complaint, filed in the Southern District of New York, JKN said VVV failed to pay the $100,000 salary of Miss USA 2024 Alma Cooper, as well as the promised scholarship money to Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava and Miss Teen USA 2024 Addie Carver."
"The agreement, included in the October 3 filing, stipulated that JKN could terminate the contract if VVV did anything that brought "public scandal, disrepute, widespread contempt, or public ridicule" to the Miss Universe or Miss USA brands. It also said VVV had the right to "all profits" from the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants and an obligation to pay all related expenses."
"Miss USA 2023 Noelia Voigt, who resigned under Rose's leadership along with Srivastava, told Business Insider that she "feels vindicated" amid news of the lawsuit, which comes shortly after Miss Universe announced Miss USA's new CEO, Thom Brodeur. "The facade is crumbling big time," Voigt said. Rose didn't respond to a request for comment from Business Insider. Lawyers for the Miss Universe Organization declined to comment."
JKN Universe filed a complaint in the Southern District of New York accusing VVV Global Ent. of failing to pay Miss USA 2024 Alma Cooper's $100,000 salary and promised scholarship funds to Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava and Miss Teen USA 2024 Addie Carver. The suit seeks a jury trial and damages exceeding $75,000 for breach of contract and breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealings. The July 28, 2023 agreement allowed JKN to terminate the contract for conduct causing public scandal and assigned profit rights and expense obligations to VVV. Former Miss USA Noelia Voigt said she feels vindicated; VVV did not respond and Miss Universe lawyers declined comment.
