Reportedly, the drivers of the three cars all remained on the scene and cooperated with officers, and the rider of the motorcycle died in the crash. California Highway Patrol posted that lanes 1, 2 and 3 were blocked, producing significant traffic backups and about two hours of eastbound lane closures while the scene was cleared. Drivers of the three cars remained at the scene and cooperated with officers. CHP indicated that neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be factors.
