Alexander Stovall, 43, was charged with robbery and assault with a firearm on Jan. 26. Authorities allege that nine days before the case was filed, Stovall met a woman on the 700 block of International Boulevard, an area known for prostitution, and paid her $200."
"But when they couldn't agree on what was to take place next, Stovall allegedly became irate and attacked her. He allegedly beat her in the head with a pistol, then took back his $200 payment, as well as an additional $200 she had on her, according to court records. The woman was able to get out of the vehicle. She snapped a picture of it as it drove away, then flagged down a passing motorist, who took her to the hospital, according to court records."

The woman escaped, photographed the vehicle, and was taken to the hospital by a motorist. Stovall pleaded not guilty, posted $150,000 bail, and has six prior felony convictions, including robbery and recent gun possession.
