On the racetrack or in the air, Greg Biffle will be remembered as a hero
In the mid-1980s at Camas High School, students waited for the bell while Police Chief Don Chaney visited the principal in an office overlooking the parking lot. A local underclassman, Greg Biffle, drove his Formula Firebird beneath that window, spun the tires and produced a thick blue cloud of smoke that drifted into the office. Chaney immediately recognized the car; the police station even had a photo and officers had issued many tickets to the driver. Biffle later rose to prominence in stock-car racing despite coming from outside NASCAR's traditional regional roots.
