Jake Paul was removed from the WBA cruiserweight rankings following a sixth-round knockout loss to Anthony Joshua. The knockout in Miami left Paul with a jaw broken in two places and required surgical repair. Paul had entered the WBA cruiserweight list at No. 14 in July after a unanimous decision win over 39-year-old Julio César Chávez Jr. He was listed at No. 15 prior to the Joshua bout. The loss, injury and surgery preceded his exit from the rankings. Paul’s professional record stands at 12-2 with seven knockouts.
