A person was detained during a traffic stop south of Tucson and was being questioned in connection with Savannah Guthrie's disappearance. Law enforcement released photos of a masked individual outside Guthrie's front door the morning she disappeared. FBI director Kash Patel said the images were recovered from "residual data in backend systems" that "may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible" due to factors including removal of recording devices. Guthrie was last seen Jan. 31 and reported missing Feb. 1. Multiple ransom letters were sent, and Guthrie and her siblings posted videos acknowledging the messages and urging the public to submit tips. Authorities ask the public to call 1-800-CALL-FBI.
