"PETA founder Ingrid Newkirk shared her thoughts in a statement to People, saying, "Puppies are not plushies, and it's a damn shame that Kim missed the chance to be a spokesperson for shelter pups and instead is being rightly slammed on social media for that." Ingrid also directed her message to Khloé Kardashian, who gifted her kids, Tatum and True, a Black Labrador for Christmas. She said that next time, she and Kim should "call PETA or a local shelter" to adopt a dog."
