Readers may vote multiple times until polls close at 5 p.m. Wednesday; votes by email or after the deadline are not counted. Use of bots or other artificial voting methods is prohibited and may lead to candidate disqualification and permanent suspension of the poll. Winners are announced each Friday online and in the Mercury News and East Bay Times sports sections. Nominations are accepted via highschools@bayareanewsgroup.com until 11 a.m. each Monday, and submitted MaxPreps stats are reviewed.
