""Sorry, T-dub, if you're watching," Rose said."
""I love the chaos," Koepka said."
Justin Rose opened with a 62 on Torrey Pines' North course and closed with a 2-under 70 on the South course to finish 23-under 265. Rose broke the 72-hole tournament record by one stroke, surpassing Tiger Woods' 1999 total; George Burns shot 266 in 1987. He led wire-to-wire, with Tommy Bolt in 1955 the only other player to lead from start to finish without ties at Torrey Pines. Rose holed a 35-foot birdie putt on the par-5 ninth and maintained steady play. Si Woo Kim, Ryo Hisatsune and Pierceson Coody tied for second, each earning $726,400; Coody likely earned entry into two $20 million signature events. Brooks Koepka returned to the PGA Tour with a 70 and drew loud cheers.
