'Several' Worcester school buses get stuck in snow after major storm

"Several Worcester Public School buses became on the way to school Wednesday as the region continues to dig out from a major snow storm."

"In a video posted on Wednesday by Spectrum News 1 Worcester, a Worcester Public School bus can be seen being towed from a large snowbank, as students are seen walking away from the bus."

""We are aware that several buses became stuck this morning during the morning commute as a result of residual snow debris in the streets," said Worcester School District in a statement."

""Student safety is our top priority, and WPS is working closely with our transportation department and the City of Worcester to address impacted routes," the district said."

Several Worcester Public School buses became stuck while traveling to school amid ongoing snow removal after a major storm that dropped 16.3 to 25.2 inches of snow. Video shows a bus being towed from a large snowbank as students walk away from the vehicle. Buses became stuck because of residual snow debris in the streets affecting morning commute routes. The Worcester School District emphasized student safety as the top priority. The district and the City of Worcester are coordinating with the transportation department to address impacted routes and restore reliable service for affected students.
