Bill Belichick made his University of North Carolina coaching debut after a year away from coaching following his split with the New England Patriots. The Tar Heels lost 48-14 to TCU, the most points ever allowed by a team coached by Belichick, and trailed 20-7 at halftime. Social media quickly ridiculed the lopsided loss, with much of the attention aimed at Jordon Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of the 73-year-old coach. Observers noted an age coincidence between Hudson and backup quarterback Max Johnson, while the TCU football account joined the roasting but avoided personal attacks.
While Belichick is widely regarded as one of the greatest coaches in the history of the NFL, the start of his college coaching career couldn't have gone worse. The Horned Frogs beat the Tar Heels 48-14 the most points ever allowed by a team coached by the defensive-minded Belichick. Belichick's team went into halftime down 20-7. With the blowout underway early, the social media roasting was already in full swing.
Much of it centered on Jordon Hudson, the 24-year-old girlfriend of the 73-year-old coach.
