Penn State dismissed Franklin on Oct. 12 after 12 seasons and a three-game losing streak culminating in a 22-21 home loss to Northwestern. Franklin's program lost to winless UCLA, and his .160 winning percentage against AP top-10 teams is tied for the third-worst single-school mark since 1936.
