These Are the Most On-time Airlines Around the World in 2025-See the Rankings

"Delta Air Lines was the most punctual airline in the United States last year, taking the top spot for the fifth consecutive year. The carrier boasted an on-time rate of 80.9 percent, according to data from aviation analytics company Cirium that was shared with Travel + Leisure. Delta, which came in 10th overall in the global rankings, flew over 1.8 million flights."

"Alaska Airlines came in second in the U.S. with an on-time performance rate of 79.2 percent, followed by Spirit Airlines rounding out the top three with an on-time rate of 78.8 percent. However, both airlines operated far fewer flights than Delta with 453,031 flights and 218,265 flights, respectively. United Airlines came in fourth on the list with an on-time rate of 78.8 percent."

Delta Air Lines led U.S. carriers in punctuality with an 80.9 percent on-time rate and operated over 1.8 million flights, ranking 10th globally. Alaska Airlines (79.2 percent) and Spirit Airlines (78.8 percent) placed second and third in the U.S. but flew far fewer flights. United Airlines recorded a 78.8 percent on-time rate. American Airlines, operating more than 2.2 million flights, recorded a 76.4 percent on-time rate. Frontier ranked tenth in the U.S. and Canada at 72.1 percent. Aeromexico topped global punctuality at 90.02 percent, with Saudia and SAS following, and Virgin Atlantic named most improved.
