A shooter armed with a rifle, shotgun and pistol approached the side of a church and fired through windows toward children sitting in pews during Mass at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis. The suspect, described as being in his early 20s with no extensive known criminal history, was found dead and authorities declared there was no active threat. Five children were admitted to Children's Minnesota and other patients were treated at Hennepin Healthcare. Neighbors reported hearing dozens of shots over several minutes. The school was evacuated and families were directed to a reunification zone; community members expressed shock and fear.
