"Defense Secretary John Healey told Sky News that "the early assessment is that this was an isolated incident, an isolated attack." Ten people were taken to hospital after a mass stabbing on a long-distance train bound for London, with nine believed to have life-threatening injuries. The train made an emergency stop in Huntingdon after multiple stabbings were reported and bloodied passengers left the train. Two people were arrested by armed officers at the station. Police have not identified the suspects or disclosed a motive. Counter Terrorism Policing is supporting the investigation and the national code word "Plato" was briefly initiated before being rescinded. The train was traveling from Doncaster to King's Cross and was about halfway through its two-hour journey when the attack occurred. Authorities said urgent enquiries are under way and warned confirmation of details could take time.
