A driver mounted the sidewalk and repeatedly rammed a car into the Chabad World Headquarters on Eastern Parkway near Kingston Ave. in Crown Heights around 8:46 p.m. The vehicle struck a side entrance, backing up and driving into double doors multiple times, and knocked a door off its hinges after at least five impacts. The building was evacuated and the NYPD bomb squad searched the vehicle for explosives. One person was taken into custody, no injuries were reported, and the investigation remains ongoing. A Chabad spokesman said the act seemed intentional and expressed gratitude for the rapid police response.
