Americans living in Paris and supportive non-Americans will gather at Fontaine des Innocents, Place Joachim du Bellay in the 1st arrondissement on Saturday from 3pm to 5pm for a No Kings rally. The event is timed to coincide with thousands of simultaneous protests in the United States and worldwide. The No Kings movement condemns President Trump's government shutdown and cites the demolition of Medicare and Medicaid, attacks on workers and public services favoring billionaire tax cuts, and alleged violations of US and international law. The rally invites people of all nationalities to join a peaceful defence of democracy without advance registration.
