Trump noted Zhao served four months in jail and called the prosecution persecution by the Biden administration. Trump said he pardons many people and that recommendations influenced the decision. CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins asked whether the pardon related to Zhao's involvement with the Trump family's crypto firm. Trump responded by criticizing Collins, saying she knows nothing about crypto and calling her "fake news."
