Jon Jones remains interested in potentially fighting at the White House, recently re-entering the UFC's drug testing pool after retiring. UFC President Dana White expressed doubts about relying on Jones due to his history of scandals causing bout cancellations and title issues. White stated he wouldn't risk putting Jones in significant positions for events like a planned UFC card coinciding with the Fourth of July. Despite White's comments, Jones indicated he is staying ready for opportunities, continuing his training and drug testing.
"You know how I feel about him. I can't risk putting him in big positions, in a big spot and have something go wrong," White told media outlets including Cageside Press backstage at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans.
"I heard the comments made at last night's press conference. While I was a little disappointed, I'm still in the UFC's drug testing pool, staying sharp, and continuing to train like a professional," stated Jones.
