The Department of Homeland Security shared Miller’s Fox News segment on X. Miller echoed claims similar to Vice President JD Vance’s assertion that officers are protected by absolute immunity. Legal experts have debunked those immunity claims. The comments came days before a federal officer shot a man in the leg in Minneapolis. The Department of Justice stated it will prosecute obstruction or criminal conspiracy against ICE officers if officials cross legal lines.
