One of them demanded that the driver "get out of the fucking car," and yanked violently on the driver's-side door handle; another, stationed near the left headlight of the vehicle, drew his pistol. The driver, after briefly reversing, swerved away from the agents, apparently attempting to drive away."

The driver reversed briefly then swerved away, apparently attempting to drive past the agents. As the vehicle moved forward, an agent with a drawn pistol fired three shots into the windshield and open driver's-side window, killing the driver. Eyewitness video posted online shows the sequence clearly. Law enforcement said the driver was reportedly a U.S. citizen who had positioned her vehicle to block the road. DHS public affairs described the encounter as officers facing a vehicle attack.
