ICE arrested a TikTok influencer who livestreamed immigration raids
"One of the biggest points that was being made to her aggressively by officers was, 'Did you think that you were going to get away with recording our activities and there wouldn't be a consequence?' That was said to her many times by many different people while she was being held in Los Angeles,"
"This influencer drove under the influence-and got convicted for it in Los Angeles,"
"Videos of the arrest show Martinez being dragged from the car and restrained face down."
"She was streaming on TikTok when federal agents approached her vehicle."
Tatiana Martinez, 24, was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Los Angeles while livestreaming from her Tesla outside her home. Videos show agents dragging her from the car and restraining her face down while bystanders called for medical assistance as she lay motionless. DHS and ICE cited a prior 2023 DUI conviction as the basis for the arrest. Her attorney, Carlos Jurado, said officers repeatedly told her she would not be allowed to record enforcement actions and suggested she was targeted for documenting ICE activity to her roughly 40,000 TikTok followers. Jurado said Martinez passed out from trauma during the incident.
