ICE at the Super Bowl: Trump aide says immigration agents will be present and derides Bad Bunny
"There is nowhere that you can provide safe haven to people in this country illegally. Not the Super Bowl and nowhere else. We will find you. We will apprehend you. We will put you in a detention facility, and we will deport you. So know that that is a very real situation under this administration."
"It's so shameful that they've decided to pick somebody who just seems to hate America so much to represent them at the halftime game, he said."
Bad Bunny will headline the Super Bowl halftime show in 2026, performing at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on February 8. The announcement has prompted criticism from Department of Homeland Security advisor Corey Lewandowski, who warned that Immigration and Customs Enforcement will be present and that undocumented attendees will be located, apprehended, detained, and deported. Lewandowski called the NFL's selection shameful and accused Bad Bunny of hating America. Bad Bunny has not expressed hatred for the United States and has criticized the system in part because Puerto Rico is an unincorporated territory with fewer rights than states.
