Separately, Chris Impinna of Walnut Creek Scouts Troop 808 earned the Eagle Scout Award after earning 21 merit badges and building a playhouse for Grace Cooperative; his Court of Honor was Jan. 17 and Mayor Kevin Wilk presented a proclamation. The Walnut Creek Garden Club will hold a free monthly meeting Feb. 9 at the Elks Lodge.
