Kyrsten Sinema Accused of Having Affair With Ex-Bodyguard
"Former U.S. senator and current cryptocurrency lobbyist Kyrsten Sinema has been accused of having a relationship with her bodyguard while she was in office, according to a federal lawsuit filed in North Carolina by the bodyguard's ex-wife. The lawsuit filed by Heather Ammel claims that Sinema engaged in "intentional and malicious interference" in Ammel's marriage to Matthew Ammel, an Army veteran who began working on Sinema's security detail in the Senate in April 2022."
"By January 2024, Heather Ammel found that her husband was receiving Signal messages from Sinema that were of "romantic and lascivious natures." That includes pictures Heather Ammel claims she found of Sinema wrapped in a towel and texts between the two in which Sinema called the idea of having missionary sex "boring!" Sinema and Matthew Ammel frequently attended concerts together and she encouraged him to bring MDMA on Senate-related travel so that "she could guide him through a psychedelic experience," per the lawsuit."
"Sinema eventually began paying for psychedelic treatments for Matthew Ammel for his PTSD related to his military service, per the lawsuit. She also purchased him a Theragun so she could "work on his back," according to the texts cited in the suit. Their public displays of affection were so frequent that Ammel allegedly stopped wearing his wedding ring at work "so it wouldn't look like [Sinema] was putting her hands on a married man when they were out at concerts.""
