The fraudster sent fake voice messages and text invitations to communicate via Signal. The goal appeared to be gaining access to information or accounts of these influential officials. Separately, a pediatrician was terminated from her position after posting insensitive comments relating to a tragedy in Texas, which the clinic strongly condemned as contrary to its values.
