Maxwell Told Trump DOJ She Never Saw Trump in An Inappropriate Setting' With Jeffrey Epstein

Ghislaine Maxwell told Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche she never saw Donald Trump in any inappropriate or massage setting related to Jeffrey Epstein and described him as a gentleman. She said she did not know how Trump and Epstein met, that she observed them together a few times and that they appeared friendly. Blanche released two days of prison recordings capturing those remarks. Maxwell was convicted on five of six counts in 2021 and sentenced to 20 years on three charges. She offered to testify before Congress if granted a pardon, and her post-interview transfer to a Texas minimum-security camp drew outrage and accusations of a possible DOJ quid pro quo; Trump has not indicated whether he will pardon her.
On Friday, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche released two days of prison recordings with Maxwell, during which he asked her about her recollections of Trump in relation to Epstein. Maxwell is heard on the recording saying, I never saw the president in any type of massage setting. I never witnessed the president in any inappropriate setting. The president was never inappropriate with anybody in the times I was with him. He was a gentleman in all respects.
Maxwell also said she didn't know how Trump and Epstein met or became friends. I certainly saw them together, and I remember the few times I observed them together, but they were friendly. I mean, they seemed friendly, she said. Maxwell was convicted on five out of six counts in 2021 and sentenced on three of those charges to 20 years in federal prison.
