Moulton returns AIPAC donations over support of Netanyahu
"I'm a friend of Israel, but not of its current government, and AIPAC's mission today is to back that government. I don't support that direction."
"While he supports "Israel's right to exist," he said, he is seeking "a political resolution that allows Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace.""
"In recent years, AIPAC has aligned itself too closely with Prime Minister Netanyahu's government."
Rep. Seth Moulton is returning all AIPAC donations and will not accept further support after launching a Senate campaign challenging Sen. Ed Markey. The decision is grounded in opposition to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government and the war in Gaza while affirming support for Israel's right to exist and pursuit of a political resolution enabling Israelis and Palestinians to live side by side in peace. AIPAC was the top contributor to Moulton's campaign in 2023–2024, donating $42,850 in total. The campaign plans to return $35,000 by Jan. 31, 2026, with $15,650 already returned for Q3 2025.
