Roberts said disagreements should be resolved through debate rather than cancellation. Several Heritage staff publicly expressed disagreement, sharing memes and critical retweets. Staffers voicing dissent included Preston Brashers, Richard Stern, Jason Bedrick, Jay Greene, and John Peluso, who warned against normalizing extremist views.
