'Not buying it:' Trump's followers ratio him on Truth Social over Epstein files
Briefly

Trump faced backlash on his platform Truth Social after he encouraged supporters to move on from Epstein. Historically, Truth Social users support Trump; however, they reacted negatively, leading to his post being ratioed. His administration had previously indicated that incriminating information about Epstein's associates would be released. Yet, the DOJ and FBI stated no evidence of such a list exists, causing skepticism among Trump's supporters. This prompted Trump to defend his administration, urging supporters not to focus on Epstein, who he claimed "nobody cares about."
Trump urged supporters to move on from Epstein, claiming, "We have a PERFECT Administration, THE TALK OF THE WORLD, and 'selfish people' are trying to hurt it, all over a guy who never dies, Jeffrey Epstein." He framed Epstein as someone who should not consume valuable time and energy, stating, "Let's... not waste Time and Energy on Jeffrey Epstein, somebody that nobody cares about."
