San Francisco's Trump Regime Takedown' Strengthened ICE Out for Good' Nationwide Weekend of Action
"On January 10, 2026, this weekly protest, now called the Trump Regime Takedown, was added to the nationwide ICE Out for Good demonstrations following the shooting by an ICE (U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent of Renee Nicole Good on January 7 in Minneapolis, MN. Good's wife Becca recorded the shooting, with the video and subsequent other videos of the incident contributing to mounting outrage over the Department of Homeland Security's increasing deployment of ICE into neighborhoods within democratic strongholds where the agency often uses aggressive tactics for immigration law enforcement."
"A statement was released that included, in part: We mourn the death of Renee Good and vow to protect our communities against ICE. Join us to raise your voice against ICE and the MAGA regime and learn how you can protect your neighborhood. Hundreds answered the call, including numerous well-known LGBTQ+ community members and allies such as San Francisco Bay Times columnists Joanie Juster and Dr. Marcy Adelman, Sister Roma, Gert McMullin, Robert Holgate, and Kelly Rivera Hart."
Since early 2025 demonstrators have gathered weekly at the Tesla showroom at 999 Van Ness Avenue near O'Farrell in San Francisco as part of the #TeslaTakedown movement to protest Tesla CEO Elon Musk's political involvement with the Trump administration and the Department of Government Efficiency. On January 10, 2026 the protest, renamed Trump Regime Takedown, joined nationwide ICE Out for Good demonstrations after ICE agent Renee Nicole Good was shot on January 7 in Minneapolis; her wife Becca recorded the shooting. At least 24 shootings by immigration agents have occurred since January 2025, six fatal. Indivisible SF and 50501 helped organize the January 10 demonstration, which drew hundreds including numerous LGBTQ+ community members and allies. The Weekend of Action expanded to additional ICE Out for Good protest days alongside the weekly Saturday rallies.
