Diddy has been found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution while being acquitted of racketeering and sex trafficking charges. Each prostitution charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years. The trial began in May, with the jury delivering a partial verdict, deadlocked on racketeering charges but concluding their deliberations with a verdict on Wednesday. Prosecutors alleged that Diddy ran a criminal enterprise involving abuse of women, including drugging and coercing them into sex acts during multi-partner sessions known as "freak-offs." Several witnesses, including former girlfriends, testified against him.
The federal indictment alleged that Diddy has run a criminal enterprise since at least 2008, under which he "abused, threatened, and coerced women and others around him to fulfill his sexual desires, protect his reputation, and conceal his conduct." This conduct, largely during marathon multi-partner sex sessions called "freak-offs," included serious allegations of drugging women and forcing them to have sex with male sex workers while filming them.
The jury began deliberating on Monday, June 30, ultimately informing Judge Arun Subramanian of a partial verdict on Tuesday. They were deadlocked on the racketeering conspiracy charge but delivered a final verdict on Wednesday morning.
