Sen. Ruben Gallego warned that military members who pursue punitive actions against Sen. Mark Kelly for appearing in a video urging service members to refuse illegal orders will face consequences after President Trump leaves office. The Pentagon announced an investigation into Kelly's appearance in the video. President Trump labeled the lawmakers' actions “SEDITIONOUS BEHAVIOR” and said they “SHOULD BE IN JAIL.” Gallego told Kasie Hunt on CNN that he trusts the military justice system but predicted fallout if Kelly is punished. He said officers involved in any tribunal will reconsider their actions once Trump no longer provides protection and will choose to follow the Constitution.
