Jason Meister, a member of a Trump advisory board, advocates for January 6 to be declared a national holiday, aiming to honor those involved in the Capitol protests. He believes this would acknowledge their struggle against perceived injustice regarding the 2020 election. Meister also suggests initiatives, such as having Jan. 6 protesters sing the National Anthem at future events. He criticizes the legal repercussions faced by participants of that day, arguing that their actions reflect First Amendment rights and should be celebrated as "Patriot's Day."
The elites weaponized J6 to crush dissent. These men and women have lost everything - jobs, families, their very liberty - for refusing to kneel.
That would be the biggest way to honor these American heroes who risked their lives, freedom and honor to protest what they perceived to be a stolen election.
J6 must be celebrated and forever known as Patriot's Day. American citizens exercised their right of assembly and redress.
The push to create a new US holiday 'has been on my mind for four years, I just didn't have the chutzpah to talk about it.'
